Mental Health in New Jersey
About half of the families surveyed by Rutgers University in 2023 reported having difficulty obtaining sufficient mental health support. The potential harm of having insufficient mental health resources can ripple out across a person’s family, workplace, and community. Seeking help for a mental health condition isn’t something to be ashamed of — it’s an act of responsibility and strength to seek out help. We at Therapy Now are committed to helping people heal and learn how to live healthier, more balanced lives.
Our Mental Health Treatment Programs
For those scaling down from inpatient care or looking for treatment that allows them to still attend to their daily responsibilities, our outpatient treatment programs allow for this level of flexibility. Individuals in the program can still take advantage of therapy, educational resources, and support of inpatient care without needing to fully step away from their lives to do so.
The structure of inpatient care meets the flexibility of outpatient care in an intensive outpatient program. This program provides structure and treatment several times per week, allowing for personalized treatment that still allows for flexible treatment that accommodates life obligations.
If someone needs medical support (or more intense support in general) but not constant supervision, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) may be the best option. This treatment program allows for consistent support without the demands of an inpatient program.

Conditions We Treat
Conditions tied to anxiety are the most common in the United States. It’s easy to be embarrassed by symptoms of an anxiety disorder or brush them off. But healing and/or learning how to manage an anxiety disorder can have positive ripple effects throughout a person’s life and those of the people they love. Our treatment programs for depression focus on treating the person’s mind, body, and spirit so their overall quality of life can improve.
It can often feel like the symptoms of depression affect every area of a person’s life. But there is hope for those suffering from a depression disorder, and there is no shame in asking for help. Our depression treatment programs at Therapy Now are designed for holistic healing that lasts, not just providing medication and moving on. We focus on helping people achieve balance and well-being that lasts beyond a person’s time in treatment.
“It’s just stress. It’ll go away!” Many people suffering from chronic stress say this. But the true impact of stress on a person’s life is often much deeper and far-reaching than people realize. We help provide support for people dealing with chronic stress. Addressing the impact of stress on the body and mind can greatly lessen the impact, and can help set a person up for better overall health.
If someone is experiencing a major transition, such as divorce or a death in the family, the impact can sometimes be greater than they or anyone in their life may expect. This isn’t an indicator that someone is “broken” or wrong, but that they need additional support. At Therapy Now, we work to provide help and resources to support integration of the major event and improve mental health as the person moves forward.
